Getrude Mungai a Sexologist From Kenya.

My name is Getrude Mungai, Kenya's only sexologist. I have been married for ten years to the same man and we are blessed with two children.

I teach married women to be better mothers, lovers and whores (to their husbands). I also prepare young ladies for marriage on how to handle their husband both in and out of the bedroom. Together with my husband we conduct seminars for married couples who need to rejuvenate and spice their marriages.

In Sex and Intimacy seminars for women we discuss a wide range of challenges that the modern busy career woman face. We talk on issues like communication (with the husband), finances, In-laws, personal and bedroom hygiene, foreplay, seduction, sex positions, the sex contract, multiple orgasms and finally the love making ceremony.

As far as bridal showers are concerned, I teach the young ladies on the role of the modern wife. What it takes to have a happy and healthy married life, emotionally and physically. I enlighten them on the possible challenges that all new marriages face for example, communication, mismatched sex drive, premature ejaculation in men and the male ego among many others topics.

The couple’s sessions are basically forums for my former students, who after learning from me go home to indifferent spouses who are not willing to meet them half way. Here I explain to the men the female genital anatomy and how to stimulate the various hot spots. We cover female multiple orgasm and the importance to foreplay towards archiving that end. During this session I dispel the myth that men hold as far as sex is concerned i.e. the deep, the harder the better and therefore the bigger the implement the more blissful. Instead I encourage them to consider sensitivity and tender loving making with special emphasis on the open and entrance of the vagina. I try to prevail on them that a satisfied wife is more loving, therefore more intimacy and better sex to the benefit of both parties.

Born and raised in at Kenyan coast and been privileged and exposed to the swahili culture that prepare their girls from puberty on the realities of sex and intimacy in marriage, thus I have a wealth of African traditional knowledge. One of my trainers is a celebrity Ugandan “Senga” sex aunty who attends to queens and concubines. I have also traveled extensively and leant from the Indians on the art of Kama sutra and the secret of the Middle East from a Harlem trainer. I have also read and researched widely on the western sex therapy. The end product is customized and tailor made for our modern professional African woman.

To date I have had sessions with over 5000 women and a few hundred men. I have had sessions with churches, multi national corporations and banks among others. I write for the Nairobi star newspaper, my column is titled “Sex aunty” where readers ask sex related questions which in answer every Friday. I have been featured on EVE, True Love magazines for women as well Adam magazine for men, not to mention Drum magazine. The Nation, Taifa Leo and Standard Newspapers have also published my work and profile. I have also co-hosted a morning drive show on Kiss FM for a month and appeared on Citizen TV’s breakfast show.
